A video of a violent fight aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship is circulating online, but it’s not just the adults involved in the confrontation that have people concerned. It’s the small child caught right in the middle of it.
The footage shows several people involved in a physical altercation, including a woman holding a young child in her arms. At one point, someone grabs the woman’s hair and pulls her backward while she’s still holding the child.

Another person then steps in, takes the child from her arms, and carries them away from the immediate confrontation. However, rather than following the child, the woman remains involved in the altercation.
The video has raised concerns about the child’s safety, especially given how quickly a fight like this can get out of control. Thankfully, someone stepped in to get the child away from the violence, although it’s not known whether the child was injured.
The original footage is no longer available, but clips can still be seen in a video shared by cruise YouTuber The Shiplife.
Was the Fight Really on the World’s Largest Cruise Ship?
There’s also some confusion about which Royal Caribbean ship the fight actually happened on. The video has been shared with claims that it took place aboard the world’s largest cruise ship, but people commenting online have challenged that description.
At least two commenters claiming to have been onboard identified the ship as Oasis of the Seas. One also claimed the incident happened during the October 4–11, 2026 sailing, although neither account has been independently confirmed.
Oasis of the Seas was once the world’s largest cruise ship when she debuted in 2009, but she’s since been overtaken by newer vessels. She’s also part of Royal Caribbean’s Oasis Class, not the newer Icon Class.

For now, the ship’s identity and the exact date of the incident remain unconfirmed. What the footage does show is a physical confrontation involving several adults, with a young child caught dangerously close to the action.
Fighting on a Cruise Ship Could Get Passengers Kicked Off
Getting into a physical fight on a cruise ship can have serious consequences, and Royal Caribbean has strict rules about passenger behavior.
Under the cruise line’s Guest Health, Safety and Conduct Policy, violence, threats, and abusive behavior are prohibited. Passengers who break these rules could face intervention from onboard security, confinement to their cabin, or even removal from the ship.
In more serious cases, guests could be banned from future sailings or reported to law enforcement. Anyone removed from a cruise for violating the policy may also be responsible for paying their own way home, which could turn an already ruined vacation into a very expensive mistake.
Royal Caribbean has taken action in similar situations before. In November 2025, two guests were kicked off Harmony of the Seas after fighting onboard.
However, there’s currently no confirmed information about whether Royal Caribbean took disciplinary action against anyone involved in this particular fight.
Questions Remain About What Happened After the Fight
While the video shows part of the confrontation, there’s still a lot we don’t know about what happened before or after it. It’s unclear what started the argument, whether anyone was injured, or if shipboard security stepped in to break things up.
There’s also been no confirmed information about whether any passengers were removed from the ship or faced further consequences. The footage doesn’t establish how the situation was resolved.
Perhaps the biggest concern is the young child caught in the middle of it all. Someone eventually carried the child away from the fight, but it’s still unclear whether the child was injured or what happened afterward.
