Royal Caribbean is opening up one of its most exclusive onboard perks to a lot more passengers.
The cruise line has introduced a new paid Royal Genie Package that gives guests in any stateroom category access to its top concierge-style service on select ships. Until now, Royal Genie was only included for passengers staying in Star Class suites on Oasis Class, Quantum Class, and Icon Class ships.

That’s what makes this such a notable change. Guests booked in anything from an Inside cabin to a Suite can now buy the service on Freedom Class, Radiance Class, Voyager Class, and Vision Class ships.
Royal Genie Is No Longer Just for Suite Guests
The new package means travelers sailing on some of Royal Caribbean’s older ships can pay for the same personalized support that was once reserved for the line’s most expensive rooms.
At the center of it is a dedicated Royal Genie concierge who starts helping guests up to two weeks before their cruise embarks and stays with them throughout the sailing.
That can include handling dining and entertainment reservations, helping arrange celebrations, sorting out personal requests, and helping shape the trip before it even begins.

Royal Caribbean said the package was created after hearing from guests who had already tried the Royal Genie service in Star Class and wanted access to it when sailing on Royal Caribbean’s older ships.
“Our Royal Genie Package offers an elevated VIP experience with personalized service and a curated collection of premium benefits designed to make every moment onboard seamless and unforgettable,” the cruise line stated.
What’s Included in the Package
The package brings together several premium extras that many guests already spend money on during a cruise.
It includes complimentary specialty dining for the full sailing, the Deluxe Beverage Package, and high-speed VOOM WiFi. Guests also get priority access to dining venues and onboard activities, plus reserved seating for entertainment.

Royal Caribbean says the service can also help with special requests and personalized celebrations, giving guests many of the perks that used to be tied to Star Class suites without needing to book one of those suites.
How Much It Costs
Pricing is not fixed, so the cost changes based on the ship, itinerary, and sailing date.
Early prices seen by guests start at around $300 per adult, per day, while children’s prices begin at about $200 per day.
There is also an all-or-nothing rule. If one guest in a stateroom buys the package, every guest aged six and older in that cabin has to buy it too, and they must book it for the full length of the cruise.
Who This May Appeal To
It’s a pricey add-on, no question.
Still, I can see the appeal for guests marking a big birthday, anniversary, or some other special trip where they want things handled for them without paying full Star Class suite rates.

And if someone was already planning to buy a Deluxe Beverage Package, pay for VOOM WiFi, and eat in specialty restaurants during the cruise, the extra cost to step up to a full Royal Genie Package may not feel quite as dramatic.
Another Upsell Alongside The Key
The launch also gives Royal Caribbean one more premium add-on to sell alongside The Key.
That program already offers perks such as priority embarkation and faster access to some onboard attractions, but it does not include a dedicated concierge or the wider all-inclusive benefits that come with the Royal Genie Package.
