Royal Caribbean’s 2027 Alaska deployment marks one of its most ambitious schedules to date. The cruise line will send four ships north for the summer season, giving guests an impressive mix of itineraries, ship sizes, and embarkation ports to choose from.

Leading the lineup are Quantum of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas, two of Royal Caribbean’s innovative Quantum Class vessels. These ships are among the biggest and most modern to ever sail Alaska, packed with glass-walled lounges, indoor pools, and high-tech entertainment that make them perfect for scenic cruising.
They’ll be joined by Voyager of the Seas and Serenade of the Seas, both offering classic 7-night sailings packed with glacier views, wildlife encounters, and stops in some of Alaska’s most charming frontier towns.
Quantum of the Seas: Roundtrip from Seattle
Quantum of the Seas will once again call Seattle home for summer 2027, sailing a series of 7-night voyages through Alaska’s breathtaking Inside Passage. These cruises include visits to popular ports such as Sitka, Skagway, Juneau, and Victoria, British Columbia.

While every sailing promises dramatic scenery and plenty of wildlife spotting, select itineraries will also visit Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier. This is one of the region’s most photogenic stretches of water, where towering blue ice and waterfalls provide a front-row show right from the ship’s deck.
Quantum of the Seas is one of Royal Caribbean’s most advanced ships, combining indoor skydiving, the North Star observation capsule, and endless ocean views with warm-weather comforts like enclosed pools.
Anthem of the Seas: One-Way Adventures

Anthem of the Seas will take a different approach to Alaska in 2027, offering open-jaw, or one-way, sailings between Vancouver, British Columbia and Seward, Alaska. These itineraries allow the ship to venture farther into Alaska’s wilderness than a traditional round-trip can, making them ideal for travelers who want to see the state in greater depth.
Guests sailing on Anthem can look forward to stops at spectacular destinations such as Hubbard Glacier, one of Alaska’s most iconic glacier experiences. The ship will also offer new pre- and post-cruise land programs, known as CruiseTours, that extend the adventure inland.
Among the new options for 2027 are a 9-night Destination Denali CruiseTour and a 12-night Mountain Panorama & Alyeska CruiseTour. These add-ons take guests into the heart of Alaska, with guided visits to Denali National Park and even as far as Banff National Park in Canada.
Voyager and Serenade Lineup

Rounding out Royal Caribbean’s 2027 Alaska season are two fan favorites: Voyager of the Seas and Serenade of the Seas. Both ships will bring their own style of adventure to the region, with slightly different routes that showcase the best of coastal Alaska.
Voyager of the Seas will sail roundtrip from Seattle on 7-night cruises that visit beloved ports such as Ketchikan, Sitka, and Juneau. Some sailings will feature Dawes Glacier, while others focus on more cultural and wildlife-rich ports. Voyager’s size makes it perfect for families and groups who want a mix of big-ship fun and classic Alaska exploration.
Serenade of the Seas, meanwhile, will homeport in Vancouver for her 2027 season. She’ll offer 7-night roundtrip itineraries that include stunning natural stops like Tracy Arm Fjord, Icy Strait Point, and Prince Rupert, British Columbia. Early in the season, Serenade will also sail a rare Pacific Coastal itinerary from San Diego to Vancouver, giving cruisers a chance to explore the U.S. West Coast before heading north to Alaska.

Should You Book a Glacier Itinerary?
If you’re planning an Alaska cruise, one of the biggest decisions is whether to choose an itinerary that includes a glacier visit. While every Alaska sailing offers incredible scenery, there’s truly nothing like seeing a glacier from the ship.
It’s worth noting, though, that glacier sailings depend heavily on weather conditions. Ice or fog can sometimes prevent a ship from getting close enough for a full viewing, and occasionally the visit may be canceled for safety reasons. That’s just part of Alaska’s unpredictable nature.
Even so, it’s absolutely worth booking a voyage that includes a glacier. When the weather cooperates, the experience is breathtaking. And if your itinerary doesn’t include a glacier by sea, don’t worry, many ports, like Juneau, offer excursions to see glaciers up close, such as the famous Mendenhall Glacier.
Bonus: Hawaii and Transpacific Sailings

In addition to the main Alaska program, Royal Caribbean’s 2027 schedule includes a few standout sailings that go well beyond the Pacific Northwest. These repositioning cruises are rare opportunities for travelers who love long voyages and exotic stops.
Anthem of the Seas will offer an eight-night cruise between Oahu and Vancouver, departing April 29, 2027. The sailing includes an overnight stay in Kailua Kona, giving guests extra time to explore Hawaii’s volcanic landscapes before heading north toward Alaska.
Before that, Anthem will operate a 16-night transpacific voyage from Sydney, Australia to Oahu, visiting several islands in French Polynesia along the way. For an even longer adventure, Quantum of the Seas will make a 23-night transpacific journey that includes stops in Tahiti, Moorea, Raiatea, and two ports in Hawaii – Honolulu and Kailua Kona.
