Royal Caribbean has quietly added a tucked-away new spot to its private island in The Bahamas, giving guests a peaceful place to step away from the busier parts of Perfect Day At CocoCay.
The Secret Garden Bar began welcoming guests over the weekend without any formal launch, giving CocoCay a softer, quieter space that stands apart from the island’s usual buzz.
Rather than leaning into the lively atmosphere found elsewhere on the island, this spot is built for guests who want a slower pace. There’s shade, lush planting, a compact bar, and even a few books, which makes it feel more like a tucked-away retreat than a headline-grabbing attraction.
A Quiet New Corner of CocoCay
Guests will find the Secret Garden Bar on the north side of Perfect Day At CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island stop on many Caribbean and Bahamas itineraries.
It feels very different from some of the island’s more high-energy attractions.
While much of CocoCay is built around waterslides, pools, music, and activity, this new space leans the other way. It’s more of a hidden retreat for anyone who wants a break from the crowds.
Finding The Hidden Retreat
Royal Caribbean seems to have leaned into the “secret” feel here.
Getting there is part of the appeal. You enter through a simple arch and then follow a sandy path that leads into the garden itself.
Inside, the space is fairly compact but thoughtfully laid out. A wooden walkway cuts through the middle, with chairs and umbrellas around it, while a shallow decorative pool adds to the calm, low-key feel.
In the middle of the area, there’s a small tiki-style bar where guests can grab a drink.
Seating is limited, with only a small number of bar stools and a few extra chairs nearby. That smaller setup helps the whole area feel more private.
One of the nicest details is the little reading corner, complete with a sofa and shelves of books. Guests can bring their own or choose something there and settle in for a while.
There are signs for the bar along the path toward South Beach, so it’s reachable without being thrown right into the main flow of island traffic.

There’s no charge to enter the Secret Garden Bar. Drinks still cost what they normally would, although anyone with Royal Caribbean’s unlimited drinks package can use it here too, just as they can elsewhere on CocoCay.
Cove Beach is a better fit for guests looking for a quieter, calmer beach area away from the island’s busier spots. Located past South Beach, it offers loungers and sea views without scheduled entertainment, blasting music, or a dedicated bar area.
Another New Option at CocoCay
The Secret Garden Bar adds another option for guests spending the day at CocoCay, which has become so popular because it offers a mix of high-energy attractions and quieter places to unwind.
The island already includes complimentary beaches, pools, and relaxation areas, along with paid extras such as overwater cabanas, the adults-only Hideaway Beach, and Thrill Waterpark.
While access to CocoCay is included in the cruise fare, many of the island’s main attractions can also be enjoyed at no extra cost.
