For some, it’s the ultimate adventure. For others, it’s about escaping the grind of everyday life—or even avoiding political or social tensions.
Villa Vie Residences, a Florida-based luxury cruise company, has unveiled Tour La Vie, a groundbreaking programme offering travellers the chance to leave it all behind and embark on a four-year global voyage.

The flagship journey aboard the opulent Villa Vie Odyssey promises an extraordinary adventure to over 140 countries, designed to provide a reprieve from the monotony of daily life—or the intensity of political climates.
Dubbed the “Skip Forward” cruise, the four-year itinerary is priced from $255k (£202k) for single-occupancy cabins and up to $320k (£253,400) for double-occupancy. It’s an all-inclusive experience featuring gourmet meals, WiFi, weekly housekeeping, bi-weekly laundry services, and even onboard medical care.
For those unable to commit to four years, the programme also includes one-, two-, and three-year packages—aptly named “Escape from Reality,” “Mid-Term Selection,” and “Everywhere but Home.”
The voyage begins in the Caribbean and charts a course through South America, including bucket-list experiences like the Rio Carnival and a stop in Antarctica. From there, the Odyssey continues across Asia, Africa, and Europe, offering travellers a front-row seat to some of the world’s most iconic destinations.
CEO Mikael Petterson explained, “We came up with this campaign before we even knew who would win the election. The idea was to create an option for those who wanted to embrace adventure, exploration, or simply take a break from the norm—regardless of external factors.”
This unique concept has struck a chord with a variety of demographics. The programme appeals to families, couples, and solo adventurers seeking a blend of luxury and escape. Many are drawn to the detailed planning and comfort offered by Villa Vie Residences, which ensures that passengers feel at home even as they explore the farthest corners of the world.
The Villa Vie Odyssey boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including multiple dining venues, wellness centres, and entertainment options, ensuring that passengers have all the amenities they need while at sea. Stringent health and safety protocols have also been implemented to provide a secure environment, addressing global concerns about long-term travel.
While the four-year journey is the highlight, shorter alternatives are gaining attention for their flexibility. These packages cater to those who want a taste of the experience without committing to the full itinerary.
Whether it’s a single year of “escaping reality” or a three-year exploration of everywhere but home, Villa Vie Residences has designed a programme to suit different lifestyles and needs.
As interest in Tour La Vie grows, the company is already exploring future expansions and additional itineraries to meet demand. This innovative approach to travel signals a shift in the industry, where companies are reimagining what it means to explore the world—offering not just vacations, but transformative, life-changing experiences.
