Princess Cruises Just Revamped Its All-Inclusive Packages – Here’s What’s Changing

Princess Cruises has announced a shake-up to its all-inclusive Premier and Plus packages – with new perks, a few removals, and some notable pricing tweaks, especially if you’re sailing on their newest ships.

Starting with 2026 voyages, both packages are getting a refresh aimed at giving cruisers more value where it counts – though not everything made the cut.

The New Pricing – Here’s What You’re Paying Now

Both packages are getting a price bump starting with 2026 sailings:

  • Princess Plus will rise by $5 per person, per day, coming in at $65
  • Princess Premier goes up by $10 per person, per day, making it $100

On the Sphere-class ships (Sun Princess and Star Princess), the cost is even higher:

  • $70 per person, per day for Plus
  • $105 per person, per day for Premier

Princess says the packages still offer strong value compared to buying everything separately – but guests will want to look closely at what’s actually included going forward.

What’s New in the Premier Package?

The Premier Package now includes a shore excursion credit that varies by voyage length:

  • $100 for cruises of 6–9 days
  • $200 for 10–20 days
  • $300 for 21+ day voyages

The rest of the Premier perks remain:

  • Unlimited Premier Beverage Package
  • Unlimited casual and specialty dining
  • Four-device Wi-Fi
  • No delivery fees for OceanNow or room service
  • Unlimited digital professional photos
  • Reserved theatre seating
  • Daily crew appreciation

However, one long-standing complaint hasn’t been addressed: canned soft drinks still aren’t included, even in the top-tier package. Many cruisers – especially those who order Coke Zero or similar options – often assume cans are covered and are caught off guard by surprise charges.

Changes to the Plus Package – More Food, Less Flexibility

The Plus Package has been tweaked too. It now includes:

  • Four casual dining meals per voyage (up from two)
  • 15-drink per day limit (this is new – and yes, it includes non-alcoholic drinks)
  • Plus Beverage Package
  • One-device Wi-Fi
  • No delivery fees for OceanNow or room service
  • Daily crew appreciation

It’s worth noting that only bottled still and sparkling water are excluded from the 15-drink limit. Everything else – including your specialty coffee, Red Bull, or alcohol-free cocktail – counts toward your daily cap.

What’s in the Plus Beverage Package from 2026?

Effective 14 January 2026, the Plus Beverage Package includes:

  • Beer, spirits, wine by the glass (up to $15 USD / $22 AUD)
  • Alcoholic and zero-alcohol cocktails
  • Fountain sodas
  • Specialty coffees and teas
  • Frappes at Coffee & Cones
  • Red Bull energy drinks
  • Up to 12 bottles of still or sparkling water (500ml or less) per day

You’ll also get a 25% discount on:

  • Bottles of wine
  • One-litre bottles of water
  • Canned soda (yes, still not included in the package!)

The 15-beverage daily limit runs from 6 a.m. to 6 a.m., and while water doesn’t count toward the limit, everything else does – so heavy coffee drinkers and cocktail fans may need to pace themselves.

Say Goodbye to These Perks

A few features have quietly disappeared from both packages due to “low usage”:

  • Premium desserts
  • Juice bar access
  • Fitness classes
  • Princess Prizes (the scratch card-style game some cruisers loved)

Final Thoughts

The 2026 changes to Princess Cruises’ packages are a mixed bag. While the addition of shore excursion credits and extra dining is a plus, the drink cap and continued exclusion of canned sodas from the top package might disappoint some loyal guests.

If you’re cruising with Princess next year or beyond, now’s the time to revisit what’s included and decide whether the upgraded package is worth it – or if à la carte might make more sense for your style of cruising.
