A new cruise ship is about to bring island time to the open ocean, and it’s unlike anything we’ve seen before. Margaritaville at Sea has unveiled its biggest ship yet, packed with tropical flair, frozen cocktails, and a brand-new way to live the “5 O’Clock Somewhere” lifestyle.

Set to debut from Miami in early 2027, the Margaritaville Beachcomber promises to turn every sailing into a non-stop beach party. And at the heart of it all? A massive, four-deck space that’s sure to become the ultimate gathering spot at sea.

The Ultimate Margaritaville Experience

Margaritaville Beachcomber will be the third ship in the Margaritaville at Sea fleet, joining Margaritaville Paradise and Margaritaville Islander. Designed to bring Jimmy Buffett’s island-inspired lifestyle to life, the new ship takes the brand’s signature mix of relaxation, fun, and escapism to a whole new level.

Everything on board is meant to capture that carefree feeling of a beach day that never ends. Guests can expect a colorful atmosphere filled with music, tropical décor, and the friendly Margaritaville energy that has become the line’s trademark.

At more than 100,000 gross tons and with room for 2,700 guests, Beachcomber will also be the largest ship in the fleet, giving the cruise line plenty of space to introduce new experiences that celebrate the art of doing nothing, just better.

The star of the new Margaritaville Beachcomber is the world’s largest 5 O’Clock Somewhere venue, a four-deck playground of pools, bars, and endless ocean views. Rising 50 feet tall at the back of the ship, this sprawling space is designed to be the social heart of the voyage, where guests can unwind, dance, and soak up the sunshine from morning until sunset.

It is more than just one bar. The entire area connects multiple spaces for dining, live entertainment, and lounging, all wrapped in bright tropical colors and upbeat music. Guests can float in the pool, sip on signature cocktails, or grab a bite without ever leaving the atmosphere of beachside bliss.

Christopher Ivy, Chief Executive Officer of Margaritaville at Sea, said the goal was to take poolside fun to a new level. He described it as a place where guests can linger over great food, enjoy better drinks, and feel that unmistakable Margaritaville energy throughout the day.

Poolside Eats and Drinks Worth Toasting To

Food and drinks are a big part of the Margaritaville experience, and Beachcomber is ready to deliver. Guests can head to the Cheeseburger in Paradise Burger Bar for the classic bite that started it all, with a build-your-own twist that lets everyone create their perfect burger.

For something with a little more kick, the Mexican Cutie Cantina will serve customizable tacos and rice bowls packed with bold Caribbean and Mexican flavors. Frozen margaritas are, of course, a must-try, along with a full menu of tropical cocktails that fit perfectly with the ship’s island rhythm.

Those who prefer to sip in style can reserve one of the adults-only cabanas overlooking the pool. These private retreats come with plush seating, bar service, and some of the best ocean views on board. It is the ideal way to enjoy the 5 O’Clock Somewhere atmosphere without leaving the comfort of your own shaded hideaway.

More Fun Around the Ship

While the 5 O’Clock Somewhere space will be the main attraction, the rest of the ship is packed with places to relax, play, and soak up the Margaritaville spirit. The License to Chill Pool Deck is another standout, featuring waterslides, hot tubs, and a big-screen movie setup perfect for nights under the stars.

Live music is never far away, with the Six Strings Stage offering performances throughout the day. The multi-level deck layout means there is always a great view, whether guests want to dance, float, or simply sit back with a drink in hand.

Another highlight will be the Flip Flop Atrium, a bright, open gathering spot that captures the laid-back beach look Margaritaville fans love. With surfboard accents, key lime pie seating, and plenty of Instagram-worthy corners, it is designed for both fun and photo ops.

Sailing from Miami in 2027

Port Miami

Margaritaville Beachcomber will make its debut in January 2027, sailing from PortMiami to some of the Caribbean’s most beloved destinations. The ship will offer a mix of six- and eight-night itineraries, giving cruisers plenty of time to relax in the sun and enjoy the island-inspired experience.

Ports of call will include favorites such as Grand Cayman, Jamaica, Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Puerto Rico, and St. Maarten, depending on the itinerary and departure date. Each sailing is designed to capture the easygoing rhythm of Margaritaville, with plenty of sea days to enjoy the ship itself.

Before joining the fleet, the ship will undergo a full transformation. Originally known as Costa Fortuna, she will enter dry dock in late 2026 for a complete refit and rebranding to match Margaritaville’s signature tropical style. Once complete, Beachcomber will become the fleet’s flagship and its largest vessel to date.

What We Know About Pricing

Margaritaville at Sea has built its reputation on short, budget-friendly cruises that make tropical getaways easy and affordable. The line’s existing ships, Margaritaville Paradise from Palm Beach and Margaritaville Islander from Tampa, often advertise fares starting at around ninety-nine dollars per person for two-night sailings.

Even its longer itineraries tend to cost less than those offered by the major cruise lines, since Margaritaville focuses more on a relaxed, good-time atmosphere than on formal luxury. While pricing for the new Beachcomber has not yet been revealed, the line’s history suggests it will remain in the affordable-to-midrange range, appealing to travelers who want great value and a fun, carefree experience at sea.

Final Word

Margaritaville Beachcomber is shaping up to be a floating paradise that blends the energy of a beachside bar with the comfort of a modern cruise ship. From its four-deck 5 O’Clock Somewhere venue to its playful pool decks and colorful dining spots, the ship promises a new level of fun for anyone chasing that endless-summer feeling.

For fans of Jimmy Buffett’s laid-back lifestyle and cruisers who love a good cocktail with a view, this new addition to the Margaritaville at Sea fleet is one to watch. With its Miami debut set for early 2027, there is plenty of time to start dreaming about where your next island escape might take you. Take a look at how to book here.
